A carefully curated compilation containing the best of Clark’s remixes, including Amon Tobin, Battles, Massive Attack and Depeche Mode, plus a previously unheard track, ‘Suns Of Bear Paws Kicks’.
Of the compilation, Clark said “In some ways these remixes represent the range of music I have released over the 10 years in my albums but they are more unhinged, there is more freedom involved in using other people’s material.”
“I liked the title ‘A Movable Feast’ because that’s how my work tends to be - travelling around, you get used to making tracks with a nomadic state of mind. But ‘Feast / Beast’ is better, plus, it hasn't been used before.”
On the subject of the album’s artwork, Clark had this to say: “I saw Alma’s work and instantly found it compelling - I couldn't peel my eyes off of it. I love the idea of exploding hands and eyes, that spread out in macabre yet meticulous detail. Music has always been a tactile thing for me - fleshy, substantial. Alma's work perfectly matches that aesthetic.”
The album also includes original remixes by Bibio and Nathan Fake.
‘Feast’ is the more melodic half of the album, whereas ‘Beast’ is its more hardcore / techno counterpart.
