Hildur Guðnadóttir’s Saman takes its name from the Icelandic word for “together” and centres on the close interplay between cello and voice. Originally released in 2014, Saman remains a key work in Guðnadóttir’s catalogue, with “Bær” and “Birting” later reinterpreted as orchestral pieces for This Will Be Us.
