A fluid, rhythm-driven statement that sees Mammal Hands sharpen their sound and open a new chapter with renewed momentum and scale.

Mammal Hands have become one of the UK’s most distinctive instrumental groups, recognised for music that moves freely between jazz, contemporary classical, electronica, folk and minimalism while remaining instantly identifiable. Their sound is atmospheric and propulsive, built on interlocking rhythms and melodic clarity.

Circadia marks a significant step forward and their debut for Act Musiv, capturing a trio refining and extending their musical language. The album deepens their rhythmic focus while broadening the palette, pushing their music into more expansive and exploratory territory without losing its core identity.

The addition of drummer Rob Turner (founding member of GoGo Penguin) brings a new sense of drive and kinetic energy. His presence sharpens the grooves and opens up fresh electronic and textural possibilities, giving the music a heightened sense of movement.

Across the record, intricate patterns sit alongside widescreen passages and moments of openness, creating a body of work that feels confident, focused and continually unfolding.
