Although he wouldn’t create more than a few movie soundtracks, Miles Davis’ music was used in dozens of films. This 2-CD set compiles Miles’ only two early soundtracks, those of Louis Malle’s 1958 film Ascenseur pour l’échafaud and the 1959 TV film The Sound of Miles Davis, along with the trumpeter’s recordings that were used in various different films, among them his recent biopic Miles Ahead.
