Convex Model is the new project of Nick Kapantzakis (founding member of Human Puppets). It started in Thessaloniki, Greece with a six track tape called “Intersecting Planes” (101 units) in December 2017 (Nick Kapantzakis: synths/voice/machines & Stavroula Tsiara: lyrics/visuals). Later, three more members were added: Eleni Tzouna (synths)/Giorgos Papadopoulos (bass)/Kyriakos Tsakalidis (drums).
Convex Model plays obscure new wave using analogue equipment and is inspired by the sounds of late ‘70s and early ’80s. “Life in a glass cube” is Convex Model’s debut album on vinyl (self released, 300 units) and consists of eight tracks. The release includes an insert with artwork/lyrics and a handmade drawing.
