Demian Castellanos is best known as the driving force behind The Oscillation, a band who are quite rightly held in the highest of regards by fans and peers alike. While The Oscillation tracks are usually based on song structures Demian's solo work is far more free form and woozy with compositions based around mind-altering drones and tones. With electric guitar, e-bow, saxophone, clarinet, phase flanger and tremolo among a wide range of instruments and effects Demian has fused kosmische abstraction and the pulsation of minimalist composition to a more contemporary left field psych element epitomized by artists like Pete Kember (Spectrum/E.A.R.) and all captured on a Tascam Portastudio. Recorded between 1990 and 1998 this is the second and last part of 'The KYVU Tapes' where Demian has combed through many tapes he recorded and stored in that period and has selected these tracks of tone floats - both ambient and meditative for you to get blissfully lost in. Limited pressing of 200 copies in an Op Art sleeve printed with a high gloss finish to really help mess with your inner third eye.
