Just a year after the release of their 1970 debut on Vertigo, Gravy Train released their follow-up. For Ballad Of A Peaceful Man the band left its blues influences behind, achieving a more dynamic sound and moving into heavy prog terrain. The instrument solos also take on a larger role and confirm Gravy Train as one of the most talented bands in the British prog underground.
