The Creeping Bent Organisation Is Pleased To Announce The Release Of A Redux / Deluxe Gatefold 180g Vinyl Edition Of Jazzateers’ 1983 Debut Album, Originally Issued On The Rough Trade Label 30 Years Ago. The Vinyl Has Been Unavailable Since Selling Out Its Initial Pressing In 1983. The New Creeping Bent Edition Comes With A Free Download Redemption Code Which Includes The Tracks On The Vinyl Plus 4 Previously Unreleased Tracks, Produced By Edwyn Collins For Postcard Records In 1981.

Jazzateers Were The Last Group To Be Signed To The Legendary Postcard Records, And Were Managed And Produced By Label Boss Alan Horne. However, When Postcard Folded Both Aztec Camera And Jazzateers Signed To Rough Trade. The Jazzateers’ Album Was Variously Known As ‘The Gun Album’ (On Account Of Art Designer David Band’s Warholian Walther P38 Gun Cover) Or Rough 46 (After The Catalogue Number). The Album Received Extremely Good Critical Acclaim By The Media, But Sadly The Group Never Performed The Album Live. With Typical Perversity, Jazzateers Stopped Just As Media Interest Was At Its Most Fervid.

The Latest Contrary Twist In The Jazzateers Story Saw Them Recently Reform For A Live Performance Of Rough 46 In Glasgow, In Tandem With Aesthetic Mentors Vic Godard And James Kirk.
